Umar Fawad Sharif is a computer scientist, software engineer, entrepreneur, and businessman. He is currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Internet Reloaded Ventures, a venture capital and investment firm.
In 2003, during his school life at the age of 13 while studying in 8th grade, he founded his first software development company, PakExperts Technologies. Fawad founded Internet Reloaded Ventures in 2014 during his master’s studies in London, UK. Currently, the company holds prime investments and stakes in more than 100 companies.
Umar Fawad Sharif has earned MS (PM), BS (CS), MA (PS), and BA (J.) degrees and has received numerous awards.
Early Life and Education:
Umar Fawad Sharif was born and raised in Jhelum, Pakistan, in a family with a military background. His father served in the military police, and his mother worked in the health services sector.
He attended Army Public School and completed his schooling and college-level education at APSACS. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in science, experiments, and electronics.
While children of his age were playing with toys and games, he was writing computer software and developing websites. His passion for computers and technology surpassed all other interests. As a young boy, he devoted his childhood to computer creations, new innovations, and experiments, often coding late into the night—sometimes working more than 30 hours nonstop.
School Life:
In Class 8 (2003), at the age of 13, Umar Fawad Sharif founded “Fawad Company” under the domain fawadcompany.tk. During the same year, he wrote his first software code in the GW-BASIC programming language by creating a personal chatbot (similar in concept to ChatGPT).
In Class 9 (2004), he developed multiple computer games and shared them with his school fellows through computer labs. He also created experimental programs, which earned him the nicknames “VIRUS” and “INTERNET” among his classmates.
In Class 10 (2005), he launched several informational websites on free domains and hosted them online. His first website, CyberMela.tk, became very popular. later, same year, he launched FunMarkaz.tk, an entertainment and informational website offering free services to the public.
College Life:
During his first year of college in 2006, Umar Fawad Sharif registered his first .com domain, NetMasti.com, on 23 March 2006. This website became one of the leading entertainment and informational platforms of its time, offering music, wallpapers, mobile themes, recipes, jokes, fashion content, greeting cards, games, chat services, and more.
In the same year, Fawad Company was rebranded as PakExperts Technologies, and its official website was launched.
During his second year of college, Fawad developed a search engine and launched it as Humgo.com. The platform gained popularity and offered image, news, and audio search features. At that time, he was only a 17-year-old college student.
In 2006, he also launched NetRishta.com, a matrimonial and dating website intended to assist Muslims in finding life partners.
In 2007, Fawad secured admission to GC University Lahore for a bachelor’s degree but was unable to join due to unforeseen circumstances. He later joined COMSATS University, Wah Campus, but had to leave after one semester for the same reason.
In 2008, he enrolled in ACCA and successfully cleared multiple Part 1 papers with distinction. However, his passion for computers prevailed, and he left ACCA to pursue computer studies.
University Life:
In 2009, Umar Fawad Sharif secured admission to the University of Gujrat (Main Campus) for a BS in Computer Science. This marked a turning point in his life and opened new doors of opportunity. During the first and second semesters of his BS degree, he developed multiple software programs, including a gaming website, SuperHere.com, which hosted more than 500 online games.
In 2010, one of his major achievements was the launch of AdLoaded.com, an online advertising network. The platform became highly successful, serving more than 100,000 ads daily across over 500 websites. This period coincided with the early launch era of Bitcoin—while Satoshi Nakamoto introduced Bitcoin, Fawad was launching an international advertising platform for developers and publishers.
Breaking traditional academic norms, Umar Fawad Sharif pursued two parallel degrees and graduated with a BA in Journalism during his fourth semester of BS studies.
In 2011, during the third semester of his BS degree, he launched MyAllFriends.com, the world’s first incentive-based social network that paid users for their activities. At the time, even major platforms like Google and YouTube did not support incentive models. The platform attracted thousands of daily users and allowed members to earn from shared profits.
He also launched TIFIED.com, an online marketplace for selling ready-made scripts and software code, successfully selling hundreds of copies worldwide.
In 2012, Fawad founded Faadi.com, an online question-and-answer platform that achieved significant success.
During his BS studies, he represented his university in numerous national and international competitions and won more than eight national-level awards.
Due to his exceptional achievements in technology, he was selected by Microsoft as a Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) and later by IBM Canada as the IBM DB2 Ambassador for Pakistan, enabling him to work with global technology leaders and gain professional exposure.
In 2013, he won first place at Startup Weekend held at LUMS Lahore, an international startup competition, where he invented an SMS-based search engine. This project received seed funding of USD 8,000 from Google and PASHA Pakistan and served millions of users by providing free information via SMS without internet access.
In 2013, Umar Fawad Sharif graduated with a BS in Computer Science with honors. Alongside this, he completed a master’s degree in Political Science. He completed internships at multinational organizations such as PTCL and Bank Alfalah, gaining professional skills at an early stage. He successfully balanced academics with business ventures.
He later joined NUST Islamabad to study cybersecurity.
Moved to London:
To explore international culture and advanced technologies, Umar Fawad Sharif secured admission to City, University of London, and HKUST Hong Kong. He ultimately chose London and moved there in August 2014. While studying in London, he launched his second venture firm, "Internet Reloaded Ventures". The mission was to build innovative technologies and ventures that positively impact millions of lives worldwide. Fawad is a strong advocate of privacy, personal freedom, and liberty.
Back to Pakistan:
In 2015, Umar Fawad Sharif returned to Pakistan and purchased a property in Jhelum Cantt, converting it into the first official office of PakExperts Technologies, known as "Kaneez Mansion".
Government Service:
In 2016, after a rigorous three-year selection process that began in 2013, Umar Fawad Sharif was appointed as Assistant Director in the Ministry of Defense, Pakistan. This marked the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, and he joined the Federal Services in 2016.
During his government service, he completed his MS (Hons) in Project Management from COMSATS University Islamabad.
Establishment of Company Headquarters and Second Office:
In 2017, Umar Fawad Sharif purchased another property in CDA Sector D-12, Islamabad, and established it as the new headquarters of Internet Reloaded Ventures, known as "Fawad Mansion".

As of 2026, FAWAD ONE, LLC operates dozens of ventures, brands, and startup companies and has invested in more than 100 businesses. All current projects and brands operate under the holding company FAWAD ONE, LLC (USA).
